What to Do In Case of A Recall
To ensure your safety and satisfaction with our product, any consumer who believes they are affected by a recall should not wait to receive a notification but should contact their nearest Roadmaster Tire retailer or contact:
Cooper’s Consumer Relations Department
At 800-854-6288 (Toll Free)
If the tire retailer inspection verifies that you have a tire or tires that are part of a recall, it/they will be replaced with new tire(s) and will be mounted and balanced at no charge. Should any questions or issues arise while tires are being inspected or replaced, please call Cooper’s Consumer Relations Department at 800-854-6288.
If you are affected by a recall, and we or your Cooper Tire retailer fail to replace your tire without charge and within a reasonable amount of time, you may submit written notification to the Secretary of Transportation at the following address:
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
1200 New Jersey Avenue, SE

Or

at 888-327-4236 (TTY 800-424-9153)

Additional Online Resources
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) databases can provide you with additional in-depth information about tire safety and recalls for all tire brands and manufacturers.
The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA), of which Cooper is a member, offers an online tire recall search tool to help you identify whether a tire is subject to a recall. The search tool covers its member companies’ tire recalls since 2000.
The recall search tool works by entering a tire identification number (TIN) that is found on the sidewall of every tire sold in the U.S. The TIN begins with the letters “DOT.” If a tire is subject to a recall by an USTMAA member, contact information is provided to learn about possible remedies.
